With our fully automatic plug-producing machine HFA4, you can produce up to 2000 pitch pocket plugs of sizes G1 to G3 in one hour!
13 squared timbers are placed in a stacking magazine (for G2 production) and its cover is closed. After starting the work process, the milling unit cuts the curved keel bottom of the plugs using a special plug profile cutter. The pluggs are then completed by a sawing unit. The workpiece is pushed forward automatically for the next cycle. The workpiece filling of the magazine is sufficient for the plug-production of one hour.
Either two or four pitch pocket plugs (G2) can be produced per work cycle. This corresponds to an hourly output of 1000 or 2000 plugs! The work sequence described above is repeated as long as sqared timber workpieces are available in the stacking magazine. After the last workpiece has been processed, the machine switches off automatically.
