About us

Karl Ayen Machinery GmbH

Karl Ayen Machinery GmbH has been manufacturing high-quality precision machines for woodworking in Mössingen, Germany, since 1946 and has been operating successfully as a medium-sized family organization for more than 75 years.

Today, our range of products and services includes not only classic woodworking machines for the trade, such as line boring machines, milling machines and processing modules, but also machines for industrial applications, which are used wherever the highest quality is required.

AYEN - quality, precision, durability

Our family-run company is characterized by first-class trained employees who, thanks to their years-long expirience at Ayen, have a wide range of expertise and play a decisive role in the precision and quality of our world-renowned machines. Together with the management, we develop new ideas, solve problems and create our products, which will accompany your working life not just for years but for decades.

The life of every Ayen machine begins in Mössingen. This is where it is developed, manufactured and assembled with a view to longevity. The adjustment, test run and final inspection take place here.
We manufacture almost all mechanical components ourselves, from the shaft to the quick exhaust valve. Only selected standard parts are sourced from reliable local suppliers.

Machine archive books of the Ayen company. Since the company was founded, every engine or machine produced has been recorded and documented line by line.

Today's C.E.O. graduate mechanical engineer and biologist Eva-Maria Hoch:
"In these fast-moving times, in which technological developments especially in the field of software but also electronics are literally coming thick and fast, we want to integrate the latest solutions and trends only with real added value for our customers. We still stick to proven technology and remain true to our company philosophy - an Ayen machine is in use for several generations and should not be disposed of after its depreciation!"

Company's history

Founded by Karl Ayen, the first generation of the company started out as an electric motor winding shop. Over the years, both the location and the product portfolio developed into woodworking machines.

Since 1974, Helmut G. Ayen has expanded the product range as C.E.O. in the second generation and established it internationally through high quality and durability. This has been confirmed by several awards, such as the Bavarian State Prize in Gold for our dowel insertion tool DÜPO TE2-8 in 1975 or for the SKB 50 dowel and row hole drilling machine in 1988.

With the third generation, C.E.O. Eva-Maria Hoch continues our claim to the highest machine quality and longevity: "In these fast-moving times, in which technological developments especially in the field of software but also electronics are literally coming thick and fast, we want to integrate the latest solutions and trends only with real added value for our customers. We still stick to proven technology and remain true to our company philosophy - an Ayen machine is in use for several generations and should not be disposed of after its depreciation!".
